Lapis Lazuli

Lapis lazuli is a rock composed primarily of lazurite, often accompanied by white calcite and small golden-looking flecks of pyrite. Its intense blue color has been used for jewelry, carving and pigment across civilizations for thousands of years.
Contemporary symbolic traditions connect lapis with wisdom, thoughtful communication and the confidence to express the truth clearly. These meanings offer a personal story for wearing the material rather than a promise that it will change communication or mental performance.
Pieces with a more uniform blue appearance create a polished look, while visible calcite and pyrite emphasize the stone’s natural composition. Avoid prolonged exposure to chemicals, acids and abrasive cleaners, as lapis can be porous and sensitive.
