Black Obsidian

Black obsidian is volcanic glass created when lava cools rapidly with little time for crystals to form. Its glossy, almost mirror-like surface gives bracelets, pendants and carved charms a bold appearance that remains easy to combine with other colors.
Contemporary spiritual traditions associate black obsidian with grounding, honest self-reflection, firm boundaries and symbolic protection. It cannot physically absorb negativity or replace practical safety measures, but it may serve as a meaningful reminder to stay aware and protect your time and energy.
Obsidian pairs especially well with Pixiu, dragon and guardian motifs, as well as jade, tiger’s eye, red string and silver-tone details. Although it looks solid, glass can chip or fracture, so avoid hard impacts.
